Re: work unit length

I am investigating this now, I get alerts to my phone when the feeder gets backed up with too much work for one type of device. Usually this clears on its own, but it appears that it will take some interaction on our part. Hopefully I'll have a solution in the next 15-20 minutes.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: work unit length

Sorry it took longer than the 15-20 minutes i expected, it was nastier than initial thoughts. Things should begin flowing soon for all members.

Thanks,

Re: work unit length

@sneippel,

Your index cleanup seems to have unleashed an inordinate number of ValidateState=3, as in "Too many errors [by wingmen], taken out of circulation before quorum complete". Here's a -recent- list of just one device, VS=3 and my device, Outcome=1, which per your API detail means -Success-, yet again today 17.6 hours for _5, the final copy. Why these are not granted credit is beyond me, but they are not! "Are rare condition" it was rated by uplinger, hence not noted in the API description... Right, this is just from 1 device. How many in total every day are presented with the motivational from Toronto?

(Sorry for the poor layout, but the gunk forum software no longer lists single line [code ] marked inserts on single lines)

ModTime changed early this morning at 0054:17 and 00:54:25 and noon had them included in the stats, after which they [of course] quickly disappeared from the Result Status pages.

Re: work unit length

2 things just popped up:

1) The WUs batch number just jumped from 1204 to 1237
2) The runtime for the 1237 batch dropped from 1.5-2 hours to 10-15 mins per WU.

They seem to be OK because they're coming back as valid. Crunch on !!!

Re: work unit length

I've noticed the runtime drop happening about once a month for a day or two, so this is normal. The upside is, more points for everyone! (since the points don't scale down as much as they probably should)

I am curious about what kind of work causes the drop in runtime though.

Re: work unit length

Batches 1296 and 1230 are very short, and one of the validators is struggling to keep up.
