Re: Possible OET1 blockage?

As usual, at WCG there is no system update without any problems. Embarrassing.

Actually it was the hosting company problem. They told WCG the updates would start at a certain hour when in fact it would start several hours earlier.

As explained here - http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ad,37970_offset,10#490683

So no, not WCG's fault and certainly not all system updates have problems.

Re: Possible OET1 blockage?

Greetings,

OET1 seems to be needing a higher number than usual of reliable hosts. So right now there is a blockage on the feeder of reliable hosts needed to be used to send out the work. I'm going to check to see how many are waiting to be sent to reliable hosts and update you with what I find.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: Possible OET1 blockage?

Greetings,

Either I had good timing on when to check or it has been cleared for some time and there was another spike of reliable hosts needed. But as of the moment, the Needs Reliable results that were sending out are below the levels needed to send out new work to members. Basically when i first looked, there are 20 slots on the feeder to send work to members. All 20 of those slots were claimed for NR. The backlog was at 320 when I first looked. But as I was looking through things it is now back down to 3 or 4.

When looking at the feeder right now, it shows work units for all classes with NR = 0 available. It does not appear to be getting hung up on one HR class.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: Possible OET1 blockage?

Slightly off-topic, but could be related to the need for reliable hosts:

Every task both of my machines (WinXP, Linux Mint) have returned since the outage go straight into Pending Verification. Also had 5 Invalids that were all returned shortly after the outage.

FAHV_ x3NU3_ A_ PRAS_ 0977243_ 0557_ 0-- WinXP Invalid 4/25/15 00:06:58 4/25/15 19:23:19 1.02 / 1.02 17.2 / 0.0
FAHV_ x3LZU_ PRAS_ 0977085_ 2431_ 1-- Linux Mint Invalid 4/24/15 18:02:02 4/25/15 19:42:05 0.41 / 0.41 19.1 / 9.5
FAHV_ x3NDW_ B_ PRAS_ 0977182_ 1865_ 0-- Linux Mint Invalid 4/24/15 17:53:54 4/25/15 19:42:05 0.54 / 0.55 25.4 / 12.1
OET1_ 0000708_ xEBGP-FA_ rig_ 87422_ 0-- Linux Mint Invalid 4/24/15 16:53:33 4/25/15 19:42:05 1.02 / 1.02 53.1 / 53.1
OET1_ 0000707_ xEBGP-FA_ rig_ 78540_ 0-- Linux Mint Invalid 4/24/15 02:31:38 4/25/15 05:25:21 1.59 / 1.60 81.9 / 0.0 <--- This one had a wingman return an Invalid result shortly after the outage (4/25/15 19:40:30).

WinXP is running FAHV only and Linux Mint is running FAHV & OET1. Just received more FAHV on Linux Mint and it is replication of 2 even though that host has about 40 Valid FAHV tasks since the last Invalid.

Re: Possible OET1 blockage?

Marking this thread as [Resolved] now that Keith has checked and WU's appear to be flowing again.

Re: Possible OET1 blockage?

The one 'problem' had here was CEP2, but that's now been backfilled on the 3 hosts to the set numbers in the profiles. Some profiles have OET as a secondary project [just to see the latest batch number for progress tracking], but they are few and far between. One of 709 is the highest seen in the last 18 hours, hardly and progress in a day.
