Is BAM [BOINC Account Manager of BOINC Stats] collaborative enough now these days to add WCG to a new client? At the very least in past I found that the password at BAM and at WCG must be exactly the same to get the little pieces that worked to function. Mostly FAIK, WCG has not fully enabled BAM, such as being able to modify device profiles/locations from BAM.

If the password field holds ****** already, first delete them completely before entering the pw anew. Time and again find password entry is failing on Android because there already are ******.
