Bitter Sweet
----------------------------------------Hi my name is Forrest Waymire; I am 45 years old, I hsve been living with HIV/AIDS for 26 years. I was diagnosed with HIV when I was 19 years old; I was only out of High School for one year. When I was working in an IT Department, I was reading an article from WIRED Magazine about Distributed Computing. I was fascinated how it worked; I think it was an issue in 2005. I was curious if they had Dist Comp for HIV/AIDS, and when I found FightAIDS@Home, I was very excited. I read about FAAH and signed up immediately. I have been on WCG since! I have been quiet on here, with one or two posting in the forums; I also have not joined a Team (nothing personal.) I have been running mostly FightAIDS@Home since 2005 (even though my Badge shows 5+ years) Over the years I have really enjoyed going to the WCG site and see the progress, of my My Contributions. As well as the overall progress. When I found out it could now be run on Android, I was pushing buttons like crazy to get it loaded! No, just kidding. Thank you, for making it such an easy and clean install. A couple of settings were new to me so I had to read the help file, but no biggie. Bitter Sweet I wonder when another pill goes resistant on me, if one of the new ones is one that I help copulated. Thank you,

Though I have been crunching away, this is my first post on the forums. Thank you for inspiring me Forrest! I work in IT as well, and work closely with research computing at a university. Great things can come from deep computing, and I greatly enjoy ever increasing my crunching capacity so that I can help reach important solutions. All of these projects have such immense potential for enhancing human well-being! Cheers to FAAH!

Hi AMuthig, it looks like your crunching could embarrass
----------------------------------------Pac-Man. LOL. That's a compliment BTW. I didn't post for the first three years I was on WCG; frankly I didn't have any reason to. Have you joined a Team on WCG? I haven't. I see you have been working on FAAH for five years, and WOW 10 years on Mapping Cancer Markers that's GREAT! I'm now working on Mapping Cancer Markers; I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer back in 2011-2012. People who've had HIV/AIDS as long as I've had are prone to a Lymphoma cancer. Isn't working in IT just a blast a minute? Though I've been on disability since 2006. I worked in a Mortgage/Banking IT department. It became I couldn't handle it anymore (morally); the quarterly meetings of Process-Improvement and how many people we were able to let go. I hope your job is a lot more uplifting and doing something positive. Great typing to you. Forrest
