Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Hello gridr,

The data is available upon request. One could contact me or anyone else at MGL for details.

Thanks,

Dan

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Hello gridr,

The main project page is here:
http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/index.html

And at the bottom of their Status page it mentions the data is available:
http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status

And the date size is quite hefty:
Results of these FightAIDS@Home experiments are available to the public as raw, unprocessed AutoDock dlg files upon request.....Since the amount of data is on the order of many terabytes, .....

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Sad to see this project ending,
My goal was to try to get all projects active (except CEP2, of course, with its special circumstances) to 10 years.
Had other projects not shown up perhaps it would have been possible.
5 years seems to be the reasonable amount with the power I have.
I have enjoyed putting in my 2 cents worth,
and of course,
HOPE IT HELPS, as we all do!

GOOD LUCK WITH THE RESULTS!!!

That's good news but I don't understand: you're telling us this month that only more than a year's worth of jobs is left even though progress has gone from 92% a few days ago to 78% now https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/viewAllProjects.do

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

All priect pwrcentages on the research summary page were revised. OET went from 3 to 1 percnt, ugm from 21 to 20 to name a few. In the case of FA@H as it was put today "on the clock" for UGM, think that's what it is.... The Bedam science version not to forget.... See discussion above and previously.

Must have been a new calculation - before it may not have been known that there war over 1 years worth of work.

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

@Jack007 I have the same goal for FAAH and MCM. If the remaining dates hold true as per this chart
http://s137.photobucket.com/user/Sekerob/media/WCGYearsPi1Project.png.html
I might be able to do it if just barely.

MCM 212 days left <- You've already got 10 years here. You could disconnect as you've reached your goal.
FAAH 288 days left <- roughly 9 months left, forums say 1 year
UGM 505
CEP 1010

Do some simple math to see how many CPU days you do every day (your sig says 17), how many days (years) you have left for FAAH, and if you only worked toward FAAH then how many real 24 hour days you'd have to do. If that number is smaller than the 288 days on the unofficial dashboard, you should be good.

Then reconnect to the other projects and push those towards 10 years.

Cheers and I wish you the best!

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Seoul, you seem to have missed the post above on the % revisions... FA@H went from 92 to 78 percent, which I surmise is purely 'On the clock', meaning there's no guarantee there will be work, in fact think after the FAHV experiments complete, this project will turn intermittent. The computer output extrapolates to 951 days now. Future revision of the dashboard, please always use http://bit.ly/WCGDSH [case sensitive], will show any project with over 90 180 days ** remaining estimate as expressed in years, 1 decimal. So 951 will show as '2.6 yrs'. Showing 1010 as on CEP2 becomes ahumm [now 2 yrs].

Crowd Crunch On.

Edit: ** In the Timeline FAQs it's said the Research boxes will show an End date if anticipated to finish within 6 months. Dashboard aligned with this to give a daily countdown.

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Seems like I could reach another level of DIAMOND with new estimate...lets make FA@h a PRIMARY project!

Thanks, SekeRob

Re: FightAIDS@Home project update - February 2015

Results should be posted and of public access since everybody is contributing to the effort right??? If not then.. there is no reason for people to volunteer in my opinion.
