Re: UGM: weak performance on Windows

Yes, before the tweaks saw MCM declining too if running a greater number of UGM. Not much though as the former app adheres to the WtD setting.

Re: UGM: weak performance on Windows

On tweaks, noticed on a rarely used device with an exclusive BOINC partition, that W8 has been set to automatic defrag. If the BOINC data dir is on a general drive, could see this adding to increased fragmentation, particularly if space is at a premium.

Re: UGM: weak performance on Windows

Getting OET1 running again took priority but we are back to working on the UGM1 update. We are currently in alpha testing working though the last couple of issues and should start beta testing soon.

Thanks,
armstrdj

Re: UGM: weak performance on Windows

FYI
I increased the write period to disk up to 180 sec (instead of 60 sec).
The hosts are now by about 97-98% average CPU efficiency with UGM (99.x % with the other projects).
However I am not sure if the made change is directly responsible for the current situation.
Cheers,
Yves
