Re: Goodbye

On behalf of the rest of the WCG team, we're sad to hear of Alan/Scribe's passing. He was always such an active and loyal WCG contributor, we'll miss him.

Our thoughts with and prayers to his family and friends (including his WCG team mates) at this difficult time.

RIP, Alan/Scribe. You are missed. I have fond memories going back to when you were a mod at UD.

Re: Goodbye

wow, scribe....
my time (as are all of us) is getting shorter and shorter,
yet I'm tired of losing old friends.
Today I noticed weird things with my hands,
age and frailty sux.
I hoped to make it to the next star wars movie,
but after the last 3 who really cares.....
better get my 6 core fixed,
wanna hit 100 years before I go (at 84 or 85)

Re: Goodbye

You are missed Scribbles. You are missed.

I'm praying that you find heaven full of train sets complete with villages and country settings. (And just for you, no village has a population of more than 3,000. <wink> )

G-zus, we went back quite a while didn't we? What was it... May 2001 or something like that?

It is so very hard to believe you're gone. It's hard to fathom that this forum will no longer have your cheery "morning..." each day. Or your grumpy answers to folks who don't bother to read the FAQs.

I'll tell you one thing... you've set the bar pretty high on how to handle one's own impending death with dignity and humor. You always have been (and will continue to be) one tough act to follow.

You were loved and you are missed, my friend. You are missed.

I couldn't have said it better myself Debs. I have been lucky enough to meet him on several occasions...I'm glad he went out in style....still crunching

well for all it matters (not) I made it to star wars.
More importantly (MUCH more) I'm getting closer to 100 years run time for WCG.

I try to remember who has gone, but I'm getting a lot forgetful
Anyone heard about little mermaid?

I was friends with Little Mermaid both on here, and on Facebook.

She suffers greatly from depression, and left Facebook a couple of years ago. I have tried contacting her since, but I don't want to push. I will try and get in touch again, but depression is very difficult to deal with. I'm sure she will be back when she is ready
