The perfect combination

I'm justifiably concerned that Google has too much information about me and that this repeated across us all is not a good thing (cf. Gattaca)

I could openly embrace it and say "Wow that's cool. Look Google is wishing me happy birthday" but I have sacrificed some freedom to Google for that small return.

Big data is a menace and, by way of the example above, instead of questioning we have welcomed this intrusion into our lives with open arms.

We need to be wary of the direction this is taking us in.

As the newspaper article suggests being cautious is genetically savvy wink
