.NET framework 4.5.2

I'm not sure the real cause of the performance degradation though, after installing .NET framework 4.5.2, most of WUs take about double run time to complete.
I have uninstalled 4.5.2 and now watching what occures,,,.
Is there any body experiencing performance degradation with 4.5.2?
Because all .NET frameworks older than 4.5.2 will be service withdrown on 2016/01/12 so all Windows user must upgrade to 4.5.2 so if this performance problem is caused by 4.5.2, it is a big issue.

Pleasae watch your Windows reigs for run time...

If obviouce performance problem exists, please post here.

Thank you. Kiyo.

P.S.
Both my Vista and 7pro shows same performance problem.

Re: .NET framework 4.5.2

It was down as an optional upgrade on mine, so I did not install it!

Re: .NET framework 4.5.2

Sekimoto, I installed that Windows update (KB2901983) 2 days ago on Win 7 and Win 8.1 machines. I'm running only UGM at present and both CPU and Elapsed runtimes are unchanged from before the update. Have you taken into account that some UGM workunits do take nearly twice the CPU time of the majority so far? For example, batch 06421 that I received on 13 Jan were longer runtimes. I've recently completed some units from batches 06492 and 06493 and they are the normal shorter runtimes. Other WCG projects do also show varying runtimes.

Re: .NET framework 4.5.2

After uninstalling 4.5.2, nothing hasa been changed for the performance. So, I have installed 4.5.2 again and now digging into the Windows.
followings are spec of my rig in problem.
CPU:Core i7 3770 (running 3700MHz)
Memory: DDR3 1600 16GB
Drive C:Intel SSD 128GB
OS:Windows 7 pro SP1 64Bit

Usually, the CPU temp is over 90 C digree though, now around 70 C digree. This means the CPU is not fully utilised even the Windows showes CPU is 100% busy.

So, the problem was not caused by .NET framework 4.5.2 but by some H/W setting including BIOS setting. Starting investigation....

Kiyo.

Re: .NET framework 4.5.2

By reapplying the tuning profile even nothing seems to be alterd though, the performance has came back. The issue was resolved.

Sorry to everybody who worried about 4.5.2. I say it is safe.

Thank you. Kiyo.

Sometimes svchost.exe copies run rampant [See Task Manager]. Often a simple kill of those eating 100% is enough to return to normality.
