Wow, my points went way down today and not for the reason I'd expect - a high number of wu's going into PV. The number I have in PV is unchanged from yesterday. Today though, I am OET exclusively. Right off hand, I see I have had some of the long running ones already. The C2D has two running now for a bit over half a day that are barely half done. If you run into those regularly with OET, your day to day numbers could end up all over the place. Still, if it takes a day to crunch just one wu, you would expect a day's worth of points for that WU too. Need to check on that. Before the project refit, we only got the short OETs so this may just be normal new project adjustments. Looks like I have some digging to do.....

On an I7 2600 running 8 at a time. Roller-coaster for sure. |

Thank You Sir. That sounds like what I have read so far. As I understand it MS will give free upgrades to 8 and 8.1 users the first year and in the second year will give free upgrades to 7 machines. I am just trying to figure out if it is really an "upgrade" ![]() Hello! A free upgrade will be proposed during 1 year for all user of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1! Personnaly I've upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. The "upgrade" process make a change in Windows Update and need to restart the computer. After rebooting Windows Update will propose a new update named (for the moment) "Windows 10 Technical Preview" and it's as easy as make an update (a quite longer of course). Some change have been made and it's easiest to switch from windows 7 to Windows 10 rather than Windows 8(.1). - The start menu is "back" (quite different) - 2 mode are in place: "tablet mode" and "computer mode", If you have an hybrid computer the switch is proposed when the keyboard is (un)plugged. - Multi-desktop is now possible (Same background and not possible to transfer a windows from one desktop to an other for the moment) - Windows Apps could now be used as windows like other applications which is really easy to understand - Windows Update have been migrated in the "Settings" modern application (not bad but just hard to find) - Network management have been migrated to "Settings" moden app too Some other news for IT Admins are interesting but it's not the subject here! Windows 10 is a real multi platform OS, it will be installed on computer, tablet, mobile phone, Xbox, big screen... For the moment I don't have any problem with windows 10, only hardware compabtibility with the Integrated Intel HD graphic card but it will be solved before the final version! ![]() |
