I for one are interested in any observations you might have. I just started playing with 10. I'm running it in a VM and it works good. The start button is sort of back. It navigates much differently than 7 but it's not that hard to get used to. "My computer" in now called "this PC". I still haven't figured out how to shortcut it to the desktop. Maybe you can't but you can get to everything through explorer which is pinned to the taskbar. Seems to run BOINC about the same as 7 for me but running it as an install instead of in a VM could make a difference. All things being equal I personally see no compelling reason to upgrade my 7 machines ATM. I'll continue to play with the preview and maybe there will be a "must have" feature down the road.

Thank You Sir. That sounds like what I have read so far. As I understand it MS will give free upgrades to 8 and 8.1 users the first year and in the second year will give free upgrades to 7 machines.
