I have several computers running BOINC, I just changed motherboard and cpu and I have it all running good.
I have BOINC installed and running GPUGRID and pogs. But I can not connect to WCG, I get the error Incorrect username or password. I add different projects by clicking add projects button on the main BOINC manager. WCG is the only project I am having trouble with. I even tried to install it on my laptop and have problems with WCG too. Not planning on using my laptop it was just a test Tried my user name bill1024 and my email addy . I can sign into WCG webpage no problem as you can see I am here signed in. I see one other thread where some one else seems to be having the same problem. No solution in his thread, figured I would add more info. Thanks for any help. Happy Holidays too |

2 things to check:
----------------------------------------WCG wants username where others want email. Recent BOINC versions had error for WCG, fixed in latest versions. See also other entries in these fora for similar issues. HTH Paul.

Both clients were the newest download. My laptop I went back to 7.2.23.
I just tried both computers and with my name bill1024, I was able to get WCG going and downloaded WUs. I have no idea why it did not work before, but it's going now. Thank you for your replies and help. Happy new year!!!!!! bill1024 |

Suggest either use latest WCG version (just BOINC with a skin) or get very latest from BOINC site which has fix.

Any idea when the Mac Client will be updated? 7.4.26 is the latest listed on the BOINC website - I'm getting the same error [missing email address parameter when trying to connect BOINC to the WCG].
