According to my Results Status, I received 4 UGM1 tasks at 10:21 this morning (GMT). They do not appear on my tasks list or in the Event Log. What has happened, please?

Some run with view filters in their tasks view and event log window. Are you?

Hi, Sekerob
The Tasks can only differentiate between 'All' and 'Active' and the Events Log at the WCG level. Neither would explain this. They normally appear! Mike |

So what is the exact status on the Result Status page, maybe "Other" or a different non-regular? This could mean the task copies were withdrawn just before sending [because a No Reply did eventually report moments before]. If listed "In Progress", I've got no explanation.

Rob
I've been away from my desk for a while, sorry. They are listed as 'In Progress' which is what I would expect for recent downloads. Mike |

The last possible is verifying the exact host name and match in device manager, duplicates possible. In device manager if the mouse is hovered over the name link, my browser shows the unique device-id left bottom, at least in my Firefox. Somewhere in the event log the device-id # is also printed near the start.
Duplicate names possible, it's unfortunate the device names on the Result Status page is dead, no hovering to find the device-id to confirm the host assignment (maybe there's a trick to still get at it). One advantage I have is I suppress the host name in the device configs, so results are listed by device-id #. A little sticky on my desk tells me which comp it is then. If there's a 3rd party volunteering on your account, they could have the work too, but you'd know that ![]() |

I can only add that if you sort Results Status by Device Name, it seems to sort by deviceId (looking at the javascript call). With some fiddling with pre-sorts, you might be able to spot an interloper. |

Now I remember, on the Result Status page select the device filter, pick them one by one and filter. Then an address line appears with the internal and unique device-id number such as:
secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewBoincResults.do?filterDevice=2789559&filterStatus=-1&projectId=-1&sortBy=returnedTime&pageNum=1 Not a secret btw, can't be used for anything but WCG internally to track results and contributions. |

Ah, thanks, Rob. That's one to store away in case it's needed.
