How Bad Software Leads to Bad Science
"56 percent of respondents design their own software, and 20 percent of those scientists do so without any training in software engineering whatsoever." I heard that Q-Chem's owner used to be a taxi driver just before he started the company. Apparently he wrote the software in his cab while queuing for customers outside the airport. His mother-in-law filled in the knowledge gaps relating to the quantum biznjiz an other science stuff. |
