... but now it's time to move on from this and work with the techs to get through this beta and help move it to production. Said like a excellent CA ![]() +100 ![]() Looking forward to making a start on this project. I opted in a few days ago but unfortunately I have not had any work units to crunch yet. ![]() For all of those who are very disappointed / frustrated by the lack of work for this project, please remember that this comes from the need to get projects released into the grid as soon as possible. The alternative is for WCG to delay the project until they have lots of work units for release. I don't seen this as a bad project start, more that the other projects went so well! ![]()

In a world that is sometimes oriented toward "what's in it for me" and "I gotta have what I want right now", it is very refreshing to hear from people that have the patience and sticking-ability to weather a Project delay. If we really care about "the end result" here (or with anything important in life), it requires the ability to look beyond one's self.

Looks like they are still doing some beta for the project. I just saw a Beta OET1 unit flow through one of my machines yesterday.

I had a few beta's that went fairly quickly, and a few that just seemed to take days. They started good then well....
Hopefully they get the project back going again so we can continue to make progress for them. |

Well, the delays have given me time to up the RAM in my current main crunching machine. 4 gigs per core should allow it to munch & crunch whatever comes its way over the next couple of years. The work will come & hopefully it is fully ready when it does. As much as we all want to contribute, better some delay & get it right than to keep rushing things and have a lot of clock cycles wasted on busted work. I've got about 30 core months on the UGM project until I reach 5 years there & there are worthy projects to work towards the 10 year mark on. So get the work unites set up, but take the time to do it right.
