My intricate formula makes it right and summer solstice [dancing round Stonehenge]... but as with everything, chances are always for more or less work, and HST1 coming online [and maybe FAAH2 going offline for a little], it could swing in both directions, as the pendulum does. Given that UGM is low-feeder priority [slots per backfeed cycle], think that your stepping out from this science is going to do little... whatever is in the conveyor, will be absorbed by others. I thought it was manual opt-in though because of the download and upload sizes. So while the feeder does control what gets distributed where, what happens if not enough people opt-in? Just the case in point I made yesterday to another member who observed MCM far outstripping all else, got a machine with FAHB+UGM. Both are of 'limited' supply, yet there was not a single UGM to be found in the 1 day buffer. In fact, 2 passed later and went... it's all FAHB only again. There are far more exclusive and multi project selectors, for any dent to be made for a single member opting in or out... the overall volume remains what WCG wants to go into the pool of devices and enough of the membership pool do opt-in [say it's an opt-in and it works like a magnet...hmmm better get on with it before it's over ;o]. In short, an individuals action, even at your volume, makes no difference. [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Mar 4, 2016 12:40:43 PM] |

Batch 23906 we have and less than 5000 batches to go to reach the ETOC [Estimated Time of Completion] with 28679. Result runtimes are nearly as flatline as in the Kevin Bacon movie, range from 3.31 to 3.37 hours in the past 7 days, and the daily total even flatter at ~35 Years/day. Anyone's bet, but I don't see it going to August in my Crystal Ball [which I rarely glance at, since I think these devices are inherently broken ;P]. So here is: 2-3 weeks after summer solstice, well before the Olympics, and that's good, because we know the effect of big sporting events on the land of the Copacabana, with or without performance enhancers.

The project was averaging about 30 batches per day (don't know if that is still the case). if that average is still in play, we are looking at about 159 days which is about mid-August. I'm moving 184 threads over there next week to see if I can finish off getting the 100 year badge.

Summer solstice is early this year [also because we have a leap year], per http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/june-solstice.html 22:34 UTC on June 20 [the time measured for stats]
Last seen batch 23921 and nearly exactly 24 hours ago completed 23861. BOINCTasks shows 23357 completing same time on March 2. That's 504 batches in 16 days, so pace was this month about 32/day. Since runtime average are flat, and production total is flat, this is seemingly how much is allowed to come out of the feeder at this time. |

Anybody else noticed an increase in feeder priority recently? I used to be able to get 32 at once, now it is up to 40 WU on a single update request.

Noticed that it's also running dry from time to time!

By [known] batch count we're now at 90%... one 25829 of 28679 got piped to my laptop. Progress has slowed, courtesy of the new projects drawing [more/most] attention which are still in rampup, so daily pace is now ~20 or less batches instead of before ~30.
