Maybe you could do better!!

Maybe I could, but then I'm not paid to be the most powerful man on earth - he is. rolling eyes

Being powerful doesnt mean you can move the earth--And i would think you could come up with a better answer than that

Re: Hurricane Katrina

Maybe you could do better!!---I am not a real fan of Bush but where were the Governers of these states that were affected--They could have acted a lot sooner Plus now we have to listen to racists like Rev. Jessie Jackson and Ralph Abernathy. Does any Idiot really think color made any difference?

It`s not so much a question of being able to, it`s more a question of common sense and intelligence. When the government of a major city warns for 'the real thing' and 'the big one', and when everybody just KNOWS New Orleans is below sealevel and that a catastrophy can happen, where are the f*****g emergency plans to help to population? Why is the president preferring a speech over a speed-meeting or crisis assessment? Is the US really that badly organised? Why is it that the recurring strategy to deal with a crisis is 9 out of 10 to just let it linger and escalate, only to then be able to strike down with force anything that still fights for it`s own good..

Dunno about the racists there.. I just know a lot of poor people are left out in the cold to die. The ones with money and education got out but probably lost everything.

We have elected officials that only know how to run for office and get elected.and pass bad laws--since 1964 we have been paying women to have babies with no consequence many people dependent on govt.--We are seeing the affect of this and its only going to get worse. And its not only the United States. Money will not buy us out of this--there is no morality--we are killing ourselfs from within I think our Democratic Republic is in trouble--if the govt. is to take care of everyone we will all lose our freedom But i think thats what a lot of people here want

Re: Hurricane Katrina

During this time of hardship for many people, please see if you can also find some extra $$'s to help the four-legged friends.

There are several organizations out there raising funds for the anmimals that have been stranded, the Humane Society and others. Please give if you can.

Thanks!

Re: Hurricane Katrina

Mexican Army crosses border into United States!

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico (AP) -- For the first time in at least 159 years, a Mexican Army unit was poised to enter the United States on Thursday, joining a separate Mexican Navy mission with aid for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The convoy of 45 vehicles and 196 soldiers was scheduled to cross the Columbia Bridge near Laredo, Texas, on Thursday morning and then would head for San Antonio, Gen. Francisco Ortiz Valadez told reporters as his men refueled at a local gas station Wednesday evening.

"Our mission is to give aid to the civilian population affected by the disaster," Ortiz said.

The convoy and a Mexican naval mission arriving near New Orleans are to be the first Mexican military units to operate on U.S. soil since at least 1846, when Mexican troops briefly marched into territory disputed between the two countries along the border of Texas. Texas had separated from Mexico and joined the United States.
