Re: Scope of project ?

Just pulled in some batch 3223 units.

3223/20000=16.115%

Re: Scope of project ?

3336/20000=16.68% or a change of 0.376% per day since my last post. Only provides 2 data points, but that extrapolates to July 4, 2015.

16.68%/42 days = 0.397% per day since the project start, which lines up decently with that value of 0.376% per day from the last 2 values. That puts this project at June 23, 2015 completion for the current average crunching rate.

Re: Scope of project ?

haven't they said there will be more batches added, depending on funding and progress? i hope, the project will last a little longer.

Re: Scope of project ?

The 'official' percent skipped forward in a matter of days from 8 to 9. As one of the technicians posted, the number of tasks per batch is variable. The possibility is of now them having more exactly quantified the number of batches or the content of the batches, the toughness maybe. Expect as time progresses the us laykers and them heat will converge under the same hoop. Between 'new work' and repairs completing there's a few weeks, so think we can say the closing date is somewhere june/july atm. And, share will likely drop once active project 5 launches, particularly amongst the target crunchers, so it could work out anytime next year, not counting the scientists top hat factor. smile sad laughing crying biggrin

I don't doubt this at all. My numbers are purely from the estimate of 20k batches and uniform difficulty and number of work units per batch. That's a huge assumption on my part. Part of the reason why I calculated what the % completion per day was since the beginning of the project, as covering >3k batches would factor in some small batches and some large batches. But again, large assumptions based on static numbers.

So most definitely, if the UGM team gets more funding and can provide more work, then this will run longer as we'll have more batches. I look forward to and welcome more work units! Bring it on!

Re: Scope of project ?

Anyone who has the ability to break into the secret sauce recipe fault of wcg? If so, spill the beans. Officially the research page now indicates 11 percent progress. Based on received batch 3901 of 20000, we're now at 19.5 percent. Would the official percentage be an expression of current batch processed, there'd be 3901 / .11 = 35k and some batches. Either way, they crunch on very nicely. Getting them is a little juggling with the profiles. sick
