Good morning,
Apologies if this has already been talked about, but I'm after advice: I currently run 2 client VPCs on Azure, dedicated to crunching for WCG, using BOINC. However it would be more efficient to run a cloud web app to be able to do this. Are you able to provide instructions as to how to set one of these up? If not is a WCG app's source code downloadable so that I can try to install and run it in my Azure cloud subscription? Kind regards, Matthew Bennett |

Source code has never been released, closely guarded i'd say. Main reason is, it ensures that results can be compared 1:1, no special timings or optimizations making this impossible. You have 2, which maybe is the whole market crunching at wcg. You'd then control both the quorum copies. As has been experienced in past, some people, not you of course, do really funny stuff in pursuit of more points, sending back bogus results. This has not only happened at wcg.
Yesterday there was a technician comment about a security feature having been added, and receiving a new mcm application version. Signed i suppose, checked and double checked to ensure we get and send back the genuine article. |

Right now I've set up mine account on Azure...for testing purposes only! If the WU come back OK, and here is the link of the machine:
