Found this game about the swine flu epidemic. It is available (for free) at:
http://ben-games.com//index.php?task=view&id=1172 Instructions are at: http://www.kongregate.com/pages/pandemic-swine-flu-guide The swine flu starts spreading to states in the U.S. You can see through news reports what is going on overseas. There are many ways to deal with the swine flu -- immunizations, isolation, requesting assistance from the military, shutting down seaports and airports, closing Interstates, etc. You also have control of the media -- you can tell the truth, put spin on the news, or lie through your teeth. There are also national transparency levels. And you can see how many people have the flu, and how many people died from the flu. At the top of the screen is a panic indicator. You don't want to let this get too high, and you want to keep enough tax money coming in through commerce to finance your operations (which cost plenty). If things get too bad, you can blow up a city with a nuclear bomb or a neutron bomb. I kept trying to blow up Los Angeles (nothing against you LA folks, but CA was one of the worst states for the swine flu and I wanted to see what the graphics looked like). However, these devices cost more than the money I had (they're real expensive). Just thought I'd pass this along, although I thought the game was confusing and boring. ![]() ![]() |
