Ebola?

How come nobody wrote about this virus here?
And there is a surge in Africa? Over 1.000 people dead!
How come nobody suggested that we crunch for against that virus?

Mortality is over 90%...vaccines are not proven! They test them on the Africans right now... sad

You talk about Altruism...let's talk about Ebola! cool

Re: Ebola?

You keep on and on and on and you should know by now that both us and IBM have NO CONTROL over what is done. IT IS UP TO OTHERS TO BRING THE PROJECT FORWARD!!!!!!

So if you want a cure for Ebola found go out and get the scientists to form a project.......otherwise stop making silly suggestions!!!!!

Re: Ebola?

Scientists are the ones who need to approach WCG and submit an application.

We can talk all we want about Ebola and MS and other diseases but until a research team approachs WCG and submits the application, there is nothing we can do to get a project available.

Re: Ebola?

It's likely that the outbreak will be over and the virus dormant before any researchers could even complete a proposal to WCG, let alone getting any actual work done.

Re: Ebola?

Hi.

I could be wrong but I think that Rosetta has some ebola tasks at the moment. I haven't asked anyone over there if they are, but the naming of them makes it look like it to me.

There are several very promising Ebola treatments already in the testing phase. They are well beyond needing our help.

The reason you had not heard of them was they were not even to the human trials phase yet. And, they only had 3-4 doses TOTAL. What if the treatment had not worked? It would be all over the news that the evil Americans were testing their drugs on poor Africans. Then half the world would be screaming for the companies to be sued to bankruptcy. There is no pleasing people like you so please keep your accusatory comments to yourself when you obviously have no clue what you are talking about.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the last dose was reserved for a Portuguese priest. He unfortunately did not get it before he died from the disease. So it wasn't only for the "two white americans".
