Hi all.
----------------------------------------Sorry for the lack of responses, I was away in the UK for a conference and so my time zones were very messed up (jet lag... :( ) . WRT the validator, we have identified a problem for which calculations could be marked as invalid, when they are in fact valid. This stems from the fact that the first job is a different type (optimisation vs single point) than in the previous library. We think we have got it sorted, but are just being extra careful. I will contact the IBM guys today to get a progress report, but hopefully we should be up and running very soon. Many thanks and I look forward to processing more CEP 2 tasks in the near future.

We have gone through a few iterations of the CEP2 validator due to the most recent work units sent to us from the researchers. We would like to thank the members for their patience while we worked closely with the researchers at Harvard to resolve the issues. Please note that some work units may still show up as validate error, and these are due to work units not converging and are known to happen on the larger molecule work units. With the changes to the validator against the hardest work units, the validate errors are below 4%. We will be running the validator against results that had validate error before and should see these clear. Once validation is caught up we will begin indexing new work and sending out more work for CEP2.
Thank you for your patience, -Uplinger |

Think the 4 percent error is enough to pretty permanently render all participating devices as not reliable, meaning always wingman required. That is, if the 20 plus sequential valids rule still stands after which a host is allowed to do it alone. Derived from that extrapolation, you may want to put an end to the zero redundant and default distribute 2 copies. Not run the statistics, but you might get a slightly faster average validation on results. You have the data to determine a yes or no.

I have just gained an extra 3 days credit without having run anything for 2 weeks, so we must be getting back to normal soon.
Thanks, guys. Mike |

Another 4 days credited yesterday and today the last error case was validated, so it looks like the backlog of errors has been cleared.
Any news on the restart of the project yet, please? Mike |

I didn't get any CP2 WUs for the last few days.
The ones before ended all in error (15 to 25 August). Can I expect some in the coming days? VEP |

It must have thoroughly escaped you there' s been a full new work suspension for a week or longer. The validation rules with the new library and workorder was down the tubes. Check on beta discussions for progress.

I have been resumed sending out new work units for cep2. These first few batches getting sent will be more difficult. With the new validation rules in place we will have a decrease in validation errors as well as results being incorrectly marked as invalid.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

I just received 3 work units:
