I'm signed up for several projects and have been running for a couple weeks. Only FAAH sends any work though. Anyway, last night benchmarking started and it has been a bit over 12 hours running. The phone was plugged in the whole time. There isn't a progress indicator so i don't know how far the process has gone nor how long to complete.
How long should this process take? How often will benchmarking happen? If the process is hung, how do i stop it? I tried reset but that lost my jobs in progress (sad as they were almost complete) and cleared out my job queue but did nothing to benchmarking. I'm a bit lost on this. |

Hello tjpii,
One possibility is that jobs are being assigned to a core that the OS powers down for heat/battery reasons. How many simultaneous jobs do you run? Lawrence |

Mine is a 2 core device so i allow both to run. I figure why not if I'm not making a call, playing a game, or watching a video. Normally two jobs run at same time and four are pending. If i turn off a core the it goes to 1 and. 2 respectively.
I just don't get why it took so many hours for benchmark to complete . But at least i know it will actually finish if it happens again. |

cc_config.xml has this option: <benchmark_debug>1</benchmark_debug>
Maybe it can shed some light on the issue. There is also a command-line option: --skip_cpu_benchmarks Have not tried any these myself though so I don't know what they do. |
