Re: CEP2 Timeline graphic

Thanks for the explanation Keith. Together with jhindos's post that provides the clarification requested.

The ball is now in the CEP2 scientists' court who have been strangely quiet of late.

Re: CEP2 Timeline graphic

Hi,

Yes to confirm our project is pretty open-ended. Consider the CEP more of a loop than a single 'experiment', where the results that we get back from the grid, help up to build better libraries for the latest iteration.

Hi CEP TEAM;

so it means, that predicted end of project Sept 2014 can not be true? And project will be online much longer?

for me is important to know, because of badge hunting :)

Re: CEP2 Timeline graphic

In a nutshell dango, yes!

As to splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen,
I want one in my basement to run a hydrogen vehicle!

But that project better be awesome, because electric vehicles
seem to be more efficient. (for now)

dango, it depends... as (unless I've missed it somewhere - I haven't fully looked back at all your posts), I haven't seen a reference as to how many CPU day's you're managing to fit into 1 calendar day. Thus, if you're looking to 'up' your MCM badge, then I'd suggest concentrating on that - as that's currently got an estimate end date of next year (see the thread Sgt Joe updates MCM Progress Reports), whilst we've had it pretty much confirmed (in so much as they can), that CEP2 will have more work to do on an on-going basis.

Re: CEP2 Timeline graphic

If I were you I would get MCM to emerald first because it's a lot quicker. Getting CEP2 to sapphire is very long and boring. MCM is a nice change and you don't risk waisting your time. And when it is announced if CEP2 is extended or not, you can re-decide then what to do. Also there may be a new project on it's way that may change your mind biggrin

Re: CEP2 Timeline graphic

Provided that you have at least 2 threads available, I would say "Do whichever project you prefer for now and reassess the situation when you get your next badge.".
