This little problem is so clear in my head but not sure I can put it in writing so you all understand it.
When you access a thread by clicking on paper icon(last page) beside last post author it takes you to the last page of the thread. The page counter at top of thread always indicates that you are in Page 1 and the 'previous page' link is not visible. This becomes a problem, when there are more than 10 pages in the thread and the most recent post is in the first couple of posts on the page 'cos you can't then go back easily to read the last few postings on previous page. Just checked I've got it right only to find it only happens on some threads - Team Vulture Central III is one it happens on. PS Team Seychelles last page link has an entirely different problem - it doesn't take you to the last page but to just a page giving list of page numbers twice. Hope you can understand what I refer to - if not pleas e say and I will try to make the problem clearer - somehow! Thanks for your time! |

Hello EvoDude,
This bug has been reported before. There are a number of interconnected features that don't work, which is why it can be so hard to describe. It is the main reason that really long Team threads are closed out and new threads started. The staff looked at fixing it early this year, then the topic died. So I do not expect it will be fixed soon.  I imagine that the problem turned out to be quite complex and time-consuming.mycrofth |

We've actually fixed several of the small problems that mycrofth mentions, but the problem still seems to happen sometimes. I just went and tried it (logged out, and after logging in) with the Team Seychelles thread and the Team Vulture Central III thread, and they both were paging correctly for me after I clicked the last page icon. No probs nelsoc, not a major inconvenience - not as bad as having no auto log-in but I believe there isn't much you can do about that.

Just a revival of an old problem describing behavior that is identical in Firefox 2.0 and IE7.
----------------------------------------When using the  to jump to the last post in a thread it's not possible to return to the previous page of that thread.a. On 2 page threads, the page 1 number is disabled, no 'previous page' option, but there is a 'next page' (?) b. On medium long threads > 2 - < 12 pages things are fine, in that one can hit the previous page number, but it showing 'Next Page' and page 1 disabled. b. On very long threads over 10 pages, only the numbers of the 1st 10 are shown. Once in a thread, it would be nice to have a 'Last Page' on all pages but the final one. thx.
