My current task has been stuck for sometime. I restart it and it says status running but after some time it switches to CPU busy and gets stuck and there is nothing else running on the computer. It's idle based on activity monitor and looking at the processes running.
Anyone having the same problem? Any clues? |

Charles, it's mighty easy for the helpers if you post the event/message log. Usually it records when computing stops and a reason. The latest version 7 agent, upgrade recommended, does a much better job at detailing the reason.
The event log of version 7 can be quickly opened with the key combination ctrl+shift+e. Select a set of line entries from well before the problem is recorded to well after and post. We await your reply. |

I think I found the problem.... on my older imac (2008) there was a process called "quick look helper" that was eating up all the CPU. I did a force quit and seem to resolve it, at least for now.

Your computer is set to suspend while CPU is more busy than how much?

My system is not responding to keyboard or mouse. Who do I contact to see if my system is still on the grid and not returning to mouse or keyboard activity?
