As you may know, Kevin Reed (knreed) recently decided to take an opportunity outside IBM and is no longer part of the World Community Grid core team. After almost 10 years' of dedication to this program, we were sad to see him go but wish him the very best of luck with his career.
I'm pleased to announce that a new member, Chenna Govindasamy (member name: gchenna), is joining the World Community Grid core team and will be taking on many of Kevin's responsibilities. Please join me in welcoming Chenna - he brings a lot of technical expertise but will also need our support as he settles into this new role. We're excited to have him on board! |

Dear Volunteers
I have great pleasure in joining the World Community Grid technical core team to serve this wonderful community and to pursue with the activities performed by my ex-colleague, Kevin Reed. To give a brief background about myself, I am Chenna Govindasamy and have worked at IBM's Global Business Services organization for about 14 years. During this period, as an Application Architect, I actively engaged myself with several strategic/technology projects and successfully delivered them to IBM and to its clients. I have a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from India and Masters Degree in Business Administration from DePaul University, Chicago. My association with World Community Grid goes back to 2004. I was part of the team which developed a predecessor website for World Community Grid. It's been rewarding to see World Community Grid grow so significantly since then, transforming itself into the impact-making program that it is today. As one of the volunteers in the forum said “Whoever will take Kevin’s place has big shoes to fill” - indeed! But I'm confident that with my experience, your support and the strong team we have in place, we can continue to move this program forward. Looking forward to interacting with you on in the forums and to working with the wider World Community Grid community. Cheers! |
