My ISP suffered a major network failure today which left me without a broadband connection for about 24 hours. During that time a number of my agents finished their work units, and obviously entered the Agent Paused mode because they were unable to connect.
My internet connection was restored about 3 hours ago and some machines have managed to upload results and obtain fresh work. However, eight machines are still stuck in the paused mode and I wonder if there might be a grid server problem adding to today's woe! David. |

David,
There should not be any grid server problems today that would prevent you from uploading completed work units. Have you tried this: Making the agent try to connect If the message persists and you have changed something (such as established an Internet connection) you can manually force the agent to try to communicate again. First minimize the agent by clicking on the down arrow in the lower right of the agent window. Second, double click the agent icon in the system tray at the lower right of your screen. Finally, click the "OK" button in the message box that pops up. This page has other possible causes for the Agent staying paused. Feel free to Contact Us if you continue to have this problem. |

Yes...
Been there, done that! Actually, since I posted, one more has successfully downloaded fresh work so I'm hoping the others soon follow suit. in fact, as I write I can see some encouraging flickering of appropriate lights on my router.... Thanks for your encouragement. I'm struggling like mad to creep higher than rank 148, but today won't help!! David. |
