Re: Join the Kentucky Wildcats Folding Team

What type of processors are you running? I see that your machines are averaging a little over 4 hours per result. Pretty good!

dreplogle,

We just replaced about 250 machines with Intel 3.6 GHz with 1 gig RAM. We were only able to replace have of the machines we were supposed to this year because of budget problems. Just think what we COULD have done had we gotten to replace all the machines!

It kind of cool going into a lab that has this running now. I just walked through one were we have 180+ machines. The machines used to be quiet at this time of day, but you could really hear the crunching! I've noticed it seemed a little hotter in there now too.

We are really looking forward to the next project, we don't like coming in so late and looking up so high at everyone....

Paul

Re: Join the Kentucky Wildcats Folding Team

We have gained a few more members......to whom we thank you and welcome you aboard. We have finally reached the 100k+ mark in results making us #8 in that category and we've finally gotten to the #10 mark in points. Points are nice, but I really like the results ranking.

We hope to break the top 5 before the end of the project - we just got started way too late to get much further I'm afraid. Watch out for us cats in the next project!!
