Hey all,
----------------------------------------One of my machines isn't ever getting CEP2 WUs. Indeed, its "applications" output is as follows: ======== Applications ========This despite being attached to the same home "profile" as two of my other machines, both of which list CEP2 in their applications output and both of which at least occasionally pull in a CEP2 WU. Any thoughts? ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Mgruben at Mar 8, 2014 11:28:40 AM] |

In the home "profile" that you are using what setting do you have for

Maybe that particular machine does not meet the requirements: 1,024 MB available memory and 2,048 MB disk space.

It may also be the machine does not have the required bandwidth necessary even if it is on the same network as the other machines. If it is a bandwidth problem, increase the minimum number of CEP2 work units to 2 so the bandwidth requirement is ignored.

(1)
----------------------------------------Project Specific Settings (2) The machine has 3957MB of RAM and 98.8% free on a 250GB HDD (and pulled CEP2 work units when it was running windows [currently Arch Linux]) ![]() |

Hello Mgruben,
If your computer ran fine on Windows but refuses to request CEP2 on Linux, then you have a Linux problem. I remember a case where one member assigned 100MB to Linux virtual memory instead of 1 GB per core to draw a CEP2 work unit per core. How much virtual memory did you partition for Arch Linux? How many cores are you trying to draw CEP2 for? Lawrence |

Lawrence,
----------------------------------------The machine has (in addition to the 3957MB of RAM), 5969MB of swap (though admittedly I've ran 4 concurrent CEP2 work units on a machine with the same distribution of Arch Linux where there was 0.0KB of swap [and 12GB of RAM], so I'm not sure I see how this is relevant). Additionally, the cc_config.xml file is as follows: <cc_config>(This is because I also run F@H on the machine, and it needs to reserve 2 of its 4 cores for feeding my 2 GPUs data) Additionally, the www.worldcommunitygrid.org folder's app_config.xml file is as follows: <app_config> Additionally, my computer only connects to the internet for 2 hours per day (while I am sleeping, and thus not Netflixing). The above configuration should allow for the download of multiple CEP2 WUs per day, while only allowing the machine to work on a single CEP2 WU at a time (it is rather limited in RAM, after all). ![]() |

Do you only have the 64bit libs downloaded? CEP only has a 32bit version right now, where as FA@H and MCM both have 32 and 64 bit versions.

Yaren,
----------------------------------------Neither lib32-glibcnor lib32-glib2were installed as of when you asked your question. I since have installed those packages and am hoping for WCG to be able to request the CEP2 package without a client restart. If it hasn't successfully downloaded the app by morning, I'll restart the boinc client. ![]() |

I performed a
