Is anyone else seeing a higher than normal points granted for for the FAHV Vina units ? I am starting to see the longer units running 3 to 4 hours on a Xeon E5410 running Linux Mint. I have traditionally seen about 30 to 35 points per hour, but am now seeing over 70 points per hour. The Autodock units remain about 20 points per hour. There has been no change in the machine or OS for a long time. I am not complaining, bit it just seems strange.

My FAHV work units seem to be running incredibly long, I don't know if this is the same issue. I remember that my computer can normally clear a Vina WU in about 2-3 hours and its now taking upwards of 12h+. Hopefully the points will reflect this increase in compute time (Whats weird is that the WU requires the normal amount of Gflops a vina WU would normally need). This is bizarre.

If your VINA WU's were running 2 to 3 hours and now need 12+ hours that is about 4+times as long. That is about the same ratio I am seeing. Old Chap had mentioned in another thread he was seeing longer VINA WU's also. Let us know how they turn out.

Well Joe, Here 28pph >> 43 pph is typical for most but the very long ones (14 hours) have been as low as 5.6 pph

Its weird. I used to be able to finish Vina WU in 2-3h. Now my VINA WU are racking up 18h of elapsed time and 9h of cpu time (only at about 85%). This huge lapse between elapsed time and cpu time is very bizarre. I will keep you updated on the numbers when the WU finishes.
----------------------------------------EDIT - It appears Autodock WU run normally (normal time frame). Whats interesting is that the Autodock WUs have a larger Gflops then the VINA ones. Something is definitely up. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 24, 2014 12:45:35 AM] |
