Looks like 0.0479 €/kWh.
----------------------------------------As a comparison to electricity, the cheapest oil for heating is 1.47 €/liter, if assumes 10 kWh/liter this means electricity is much cheaper than other sources of heating, with the exception if you've got "free" firewood. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. Looks like 0.0479 â¬/kWh. Wow. Just off the cuff conversion makes about US $7.50/gallon for heating oil. That is crazy expensive. We are at about US $ 3.53/gallon for heating oil here. Cheers

Ingleside, I am so jealous... Well, if you've got a car, do you also wants the 1.73 Euro/liter for diesel or 1.84 Euro/liter for unleaded gasoline? ![]() ![]() "I make so many mistakes. By my figuring that makes about US $9.54/(US)gallon. That is also crazy expensive. Unleaded here is US $3.36/gallon. Diesel is higher at about $3.80/gallon. Cheers

Well, I got my drivers license less than a month ago so I don't have a car yet (other than my mom's). Here, a liter of unleaded gasoline goes at €1.59 and €1.70 (two types). But that electricity price is just amazingly low. Electricity here has incrased about 4.1% since the start of the year and it's February...

But that electricity price is just amazingly low. Electricity here has incrased about 4.1% since the start of the year and it's February... Taking a closer look, you're right it's amazingly low, it's actually too low... since apparently I just included the electricity-price and not the cost of being connected to the power-grid. (This is for using a web-page to choose the "best" price and not reading all the small print). Hmm, let's see, the calculation is: 1: Flat yearly fee to be connected to power-grid: 198.35 euro. 2: Additional cost for power-grid: 0.04147 euro/kWh. 3: Yearly electricity-cost: 56.26 euro. 4: Additional electricity-cost for usage: 0.04645 euro/kWh. If assumes 20000 kWh/year, this means: 0.05139 euro/kWh for being connected and 0.04926 euro/kWh for electricity ==> 0.10 euro/kWh. For #3 and #4, where are both more costly and cheaper solutions, for the moment the cheapest "changes every day" is at 0.039 euro/kWh, this is down from 0.048 euro/kWh on 22.01.2014. Oh well, 0.10 euro/kWh is still on the low side, especially compared to everything else being so expensive around here. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. Here in Alberta Canada we get to shop around,
----------------------------------------I locked in at 7.6 cents/KW about a penny lower than I had been paying. One sad fact is that now all the power I make with the solar panels, is now paying the lower rate. But I made 21 KW yesterday!!!! And its only Feb, with like an 8 hour day! ![]() |
