For some reason, BOINC Manager isa happy without requesting any tasks. Make sure that any project other than WCG is suspended and see if BOINC Manager is happy when nothing is running.

That has fixed it for now. Never had a problem in the past, will be interesting to see if it happens again

It appears that the reason it happened is that your 'workshare' for WCG had been reached and other projects had priority. If you wish to make sure it never happens again raise the workshare priority of WCG way above all the other projects..... biggrin

Looks good to me. I see:

but later I see:

2/11/2014 6:34:00 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 2 new tasks"
so apparently there are not any suspended tasks interfering with the Scheduler.

What is the problem?

It could also have been the limit on RAM usage by boinc causing only one Einstein task to run.

Sun 09 Feb 2014 22:46:12 GMT max memory usage when active: 400.79MB

On a 2GB system, that is 20% when active and 30% when idle. I would suggest doubling those settings to 40% and 60%. I checked WUProp's results page and that Einstein application has a range from 180MB to 480MB on 32-bit Linux systems. Boinc may have determined there wasn't enough memory to run another task, so it would not have requested any tasks.

Looks good to me. I see:

but later I see:
"2/11/2014 6:33:54 PM | World Community Grid | Requesting new tasks for CPU
2/11/2014 6:34:00 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request completed: got 2 new tasks"
so apparently there are not any suspended tasks interfering with the Scheduler.

What is the problem?

You do NOT have to update manually, just wait, they will automatically report themselves within 24 hours, that is the way the system works biggrin

No need to update manually. After the result is returned, BOINC Manager shows "Ready to report" which alarms every new member. This is an extremely poor design decision that should be handled more discreetly. BOINC will send a report to the Scheduler server listing all the work units finished at least once a day. This will cause the server to execute a very slow database operation, so BOINC tries to accumulate a number of reports into a single list before sending the report.
