I am running opensuse. When I upgraded to version 13.1 and the new kernel, BOINC manager stopped working. I tried the few recommendations I could find here and in the opensuse forums but nothing worked. When I linked some libraries, it starts but crashes immediately. If I start it in a terminal, I get a message about .png files and it crashes. I did get the client to run from the terminal, so I am crunching after a week or so off. But I want the manager to work, too. Any updates on what to do?

CybeRoky- It sounds like you had a permissions problem, when installed as a service the client runs independantly of your account and sets its own permissions. Most people run it as a service, it is the safer option, I am glad you got it sorted. ![]() Gort- you have a different problem, open a new thread. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
