Thanks RT! Looks like I should be okay on both machines, at least in terms of CP, RAM and disk space. Have to look into the DirectX 9 part but thinking that will be okay too. It may be a tad slow but can't really complain with these machines.

I lost some WCG time yesterday. Why you asked?
----------------------------------------Well, I have this Core2Quad 9550 that I build new and put Vista on a few years back. I also had this copy of Windows 8 that I put on another machine and could not stomach so I took it off and put 7 on it 6 plus months ago. So I got to thinking, since I am getting windows 8 machines in here to work on, why don't I give 8 another try (I had already paid for it and was not using it) and I at least need to perpetuate the illusion that I know what I am doing here. I chatted with Microsoft Support and they told me I could install it on the other machine. I am not sure why they allowed it but I suppose that since it had been installed, they had not seen it for updates or some such for 6+ months.. Anyway, for some reason or other, they said I could do it. So I did. I installed it on this older 9550 (Still a good machine). It fussed at me about that key being already used and told me to call a number and then led me through an activation process. Long story no longer, it all worked and now I have a Windows 8 machine here. It is running BOINC (which I had to download from Berkley) and seems to be doing well. I was somewhat surprised that it did not automatically upgrade from 8 to 8.1 but it didn't and I had to go find it and ask for the upgrade. Got that done and it is now an 8.1 machine. I still do not like Windows 8 in any form but it does not frustrate me as much as it did and I am much less annoyed by it. This is just a FYI no revelations, epiphanies or frankly anything exciting.
