ODROID U2/U3

I saw a post about this device a couple of days ago and was wondering if anyone has used the U2 for crunching? The U3 and U3 community edition are fairly cheap and far more powerful it appears compared to something like the Raspberry Pi for example. I'll probably be ordering one to play around with, but if they can offer decent crunching value for their money, could be a good choice for adding more power to our supercomputer. I know we already get a pretty solid amount of work done on our phones and tablets.

Here is a link to their site and the U3: http://hardkernel.com/main/products/prdt_info.php

Hello Cmdrd,
Have you discovered what CPU the U2 has? My quick glance failed.

Re: ODROID U2/U3

Hey Lawrence,
Here it is: Samsung Exynos4412 Prime Cortex-A9 Quad Core 1.7Ghz with 1MB L2 cache
The U3 offers the same CPU and costs $65 ($59 for the community edition, same device, but can only buy one).

Re: ODROID U2/U3

Hello Cmdrd,
The A9 runs ARM code, so your only choice is Android for the OS. If you can download and install a version of BOINC that is compatible with the Android version, it should work. No promises about the compatibility. I suspect you would be the first to try.
