Re: CEP2 work units to have 18 hour limit

Yeah, I had something similar happen today. A CEP2 work unit took about 18 hours and gave me about 60 points (I'd look up the exact numbers but the stat refresh makes that impossible). That's about the same number of points as I would get in four hours on other tasks.

Re: CEP2 work units to have 18 hour limit

Ditto, one of my machines is requesting and being awarded points in line with what I would expect, while the other (a Core2 Duo Wolfdale E8400 running Vista Home 32-bit if that helps) is running tasks close to the 18 hour limit, for which I'd normally expect about 400 points per unit, but only requesting and receiving exactly 64.9 each.

Re: CEP2 work units to have 18 hour limit

Not the best way to attract (new) crunchers IMHO money eyes

For me, the run-time (i.e. badge) is more important than points, so I don't care as far as I do not receive error task after 12+ hours of shrubbing angry

Cheers, good luck

SekeRob is missing (on holiday??) but this post 20 Dec 2013 highlights the problem.

Re: CEP2 work units to have 18 hour limit

I have seen very similar discrepancies. It's probably an issue of CreditNow and should be checked.

Re: CEP2 work units to have 18 hour limit

One of my hosts always claims 65.6 credits for a CEP2 task no matter how long it took (17.38, 14.04, 14.88 hours).

Re: CEP2 work units to have 18 hour limit

I though this new limit meant that all WUs would stop running after 18h but one of mine is currently running 19h+...abnormal?

Byuda,

18 hour CPU time, you are probably looking at elapsed time.

Yes, that's our best guess as well.
