MCM1_0000155_8251. I got it today and returned it 3 hours and 19 minute later but it was "too late" I noticed that four other had problems with this WU. Had two errors and a BSOD when it happened. I'm sure that this rig didn't have a BSOD in the past two years. Could be unrelated.

We have seen this "Too Late" designation before when we know the results were reported well before the deadline. So far the techs have not chimed in with a reason for this designation.
----------------------------------------Cheers Edit: Thanks for pointing this out. Here is the FAQ with the pertinent part in bold. Too Late - The result was returned to the server a long time after it was due. Occasionally a result previously marked Pending Validation and for which a distribution is stopped without complete quorum is converted to the Too Late state and credit granted as claimed. Internally these task results are noted as Skipped, for later review. Also see the Pending Validation status.

There's an FAQ that hints at confusing uses of Too Late, and a tech message from last year that mentions it.

Several (too many) MCM WUs have been sent to my hosts on 2013-12-02 resp. 03 with less than 2 days deadline.
----------------------------------------Even the hosts have currently a 1 or 1.5 day buffer, several WUs have been returned "over" the time (around 4 to 8 hours later than due). Unfortunately, the granted credits are very low. Frankly, I do not see nor understand the reason to redistribute so many WUs (sometime long WUs) within a so limited time frame causing that hosts compute redundantly for nothing. It is only wasted time and energy. |
