Radeon 6990 won't get any work units

Hello,

I have 2 Crossfired Radeon 6990's which don't get any work units assigned to them. I have all the settings configured in my device profiles and about 8 months ago was the last time any work units were assigned to my gpu's. I didn't see the Radeon 6990's listed on the exclude list either. I've tried reinstalling, installing as a service and installing as a normal process but haven't received any gpu work units.

Does anyone have any advice?

There is currently no GPU projects at WCG.

The very best place for GPU news is on a forum for GPU projects, such as http://www.gpugrid.net/ For distributed computing projects in general, look at http://www.distributedcomputing.info/

WCG doesn't announce things until a project is ready to go. But any new GPU project will go thru beta testing first. wink

So, for now, if you want something to do, you have to look at other BOINC projects that support GPUs (especially ATI/AMD GPUs).

And btw, GPUGRID doesn't support ATI/AMD GPUs.

Collatz Conjecture is worth a look especially since running solo_collatz (GPU) only uses 0.02 CPU and so doesn't detract from CPU crunching at WCG. (And it supports ATI/AMD GPUs)

There has been no news of a GPU project at WCG for the immediate future. sad

Awesome, thanks for all the replies everyone! I ended up adding Folding @ Home but it also makes my gpu's sound like jet engines... perhaps it's time to upgrade to liquid cooling! biggrin
