Hi Mamajuanauk, glad to hear you're trying Ubuntu. Is there a reason why you are using an older release (12.04)?
----------------------------------------Did you install BOINC from the Ubuntu repository, or did you download it from the WCG webpage? If you downloaded it from the repository, you should be able to find the BOINC Manager on menu -- probably the System menu, possibly Applications (sorry I don't remember exactly from 12.04). If you downloaded from the WCG web page, after you follow the instructions for running the installation script, a message should appear on the screen telling you how to start the BOINC Manager. It's easier to use BOINC on Ubuntu if you install from the repository, but the other way works fine, too. ![]() |

Going to download v13 and upgrade. Boinc installed from repository. Will try again soon, I'll let you know how I get on... Thanks again.
