I am thinking of getting a Hudl (a Tablet from Tesco), having no experience of using Android (I don't have a mobile/smart phone), would it be able to run FA@H Vina?
----------------------------------------I did search before posting but came up a blank? Thanx in advance, TMC ![]() Edit: Thought I should add, I'm not buying a Tablet just for WCG (it's mainly for the wife), but if I do buy one and it's in use then it may as well fight the good fight at the same time ![]() ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by themoonscrescent at Oct 16, 2013 7:11:54 AM] |

Should run fine. But many android devices with multicore CPUs have problem with overheating. (they produce invalid results when running on all cores) In such occasion its recomended to run on 1 core only.
----------------------------------------I can not find what exactly CPU is mounted in Hudl, so its hard to say something about heat production. [Edit 1 times, last edit by krab84 at Oct 16, 2013 10:50:15 AM] |

Thankyou for the reply's, as it turns out, the Hudl has over a 2 week waiting period (apparently?), so I may go for a Nexus instead

I've read that the Nexus tables (7 & 10 in) are the one of the best there are. I've been trying to find an excuse to get a tablet (haven't been able to find one yet, but I'm still searching
---------------------------------------- ). Sony's Xperia Z tablet looks good and has great reviews (maybe for Christmas... hope, hope, hope).CJSL Gotta keep crunching, there's a world to save !!! |

I've read that the Nexus tables (7 & 10 in) are the one of the best there are. I have an Asus Nexus 7", and it is a very nice tablet. But it does produce invalid results even when two of the four cores are not used. Wether that is due to overheating or poor coding, the jury is still out... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
