Failure to add user to 'bionc_admins' group (BIONC Master)
I ran WCG on my old laptop before it died. Unsuccessfully trying to install BIONC on my new laptop.

Message "Failure to add user to 'bionc_admins' group (BIONC Master)" keeps appearing, installation won't complete.

And what version of BOINC are you trying to install?

1) Nothing personal, and Et Alia in fact: Misspelling BOINC makes searching the forums and Google hard to do for past posts of the same problem. [If it can be done] Copy/Paste messages is better than copy/type turning copy/typo. Thx in advance to all readers ;).

2) This is an issue likely related to W8 (New Laptop :). Sticky post at top of all WCG forums advises on using a new client, version 6.12.xx and up. My advise would be to fast forward to the latest test version 7.2.7 WCG build [it ran for me well for several weeks]... that is, if it is W8. If it is a Mac Laptop with Lion OS-X, that would have surely been volunteered... the Sticky post also applies in that case ;p

Thanks, must have been W8, I downloaded the 7.2.7 WCG build and it works.

BOINC not BIONC, got it wink
