Just dropping by to say Hi and look around at all the grinning faces
----------------------------------------![]() This MrKermit fellow does like his points and runtime huh? Enjoy guys. On a side note, how many of these fit in an EATX case ?? http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/D/X10SDV-7TP8F.cfm I am thinking each one would hit around 15K ppd on 32 threads whilst using <100w (just a guesstimate) ![]() |

Interesting, found plenty of sites listing them but no prices, enquiries need to be made with an Antec 1900 case I could fit 4 of those in the bottom section easily.I do have a little scheme involving some old machines miraculously morphing from old celerons to i7 6700k's at 4.6gHz, if I could only convince my wife to go visit her parents 250 miles away Right now though my main problem is heat, we're coming into summertime here in the UK and i've already moved 2 machines to another part of the house, when i had two i5's and two i7's in one room it was like a sauna, even at 00:21 it's still 29°C - keeps my tea warmer for longer though. |
