HI there, I've installed Boinc and WCG on Samsung Mini Galaxy about 5 days ago but no tasks available, perhaps phone cpu insufficient to use? Have linked it to my account as well ... Thanks

Hopefully its the settings. BOINC doesn't let you download (or run work) if any of the Preferences are not set correctly. I changed mine on Galaxy S3 to Min Battery Level 30% and ticked Compute on Battery. Also need to ensure Project Settings on WCG ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyProjects.do ) has FightAIDS@Home and/or Say No to Schistosoma ticked. Then select Projects ->Word Community Grid and select Update on Project Commands window. I ran into a similar issue with my Motorola Droid, I found there was a newer version of BOINC that I needed to apply. After updating to the latest version of BOINC my phone is crunching again!

My samsung has been crunching fine until today. Will not download more work as of last night.

My samsung has been crunching fine until today. Will not download more work as of last night. Something to try might be to look at the Event Log on your phone, and manually initiate an update and see what it says as far as work available and why nothing is coming across. Along the way using the above, I ran into where the datasets required more memory than my mobile BOINC was setup to allow by default so I just had to bump up the memory allocated to the tool (via Preferences) a little to continue receiving work. |

in regards to my previous post, on Tuesday morning I received new work but then came the weekend and back to the same thing...no work available. I have my phone set to use 100% of memory and as of this posting I still cannot get new work. I keep manually requesting new work about every hour but it's like there's no work available on the servers.
