I had a whole slew of CEP2 beta and non-beta that kept resetting themselves ("exited with zero status but no file"). In the end, I reset the project, and simultaneously reduced the number of threads from 8 to 4 (just a hunch) and units have been going through OK for the last few days.

RTS48, sounds like it might be a checkpointing issue.
Worth double checking the "Write to disk at most every" setting. What other work units were you running? If you look at the beta support threads, I think others have suffered from a similar problem to yourself with the CEP2 Betas |

RTS48, sounds like it might be a checkpointing issue. Worth double checking the "Write to disk at most every" setting. What other work units were you running? If you look at the beta support threads, I think others have suffered from a similar problem to yourself with the CEP2 Betas Arthur256 - Looking at the WU properties, the checkpoint time to disk was zero or more accurately not recorded (CPU time at last checkpoint = ---). Write to disk (Request tasks to checkpoint at most) is set to 60 seconds so I don't think that is the issue. I am only running OET at the moment and those WUs showed a return to zero completion but still finished after the expected time (1 to 2 hours). On another subject - I had a look at the report on OET and was led to believe that it is due to finish soon viz... So far, 33.4 million of these virtual experiments have been conducted by World Community Grid volunteers, the percentage of tasks completed is increasing, and will probably reach 100% soon. We are currently seeking a computational scientist (and funding to support him or her) to filter this tremendous body of work into the most meaningful compounds we can test in a laboratory. Does anyone else interpret this another way?

Morning all, and welcome to the team Zhiyu.
----------------------------------------Yes, Rod, I would read those comments on OET in the same way as you. It's never been one of my favourite causes, but currently it's the only project that will run on Android, so it will be a shame in that respect when it finishes. Still, if the research is completed, that's great news.

Good morning team. Quite cool (24C) here today now that the wind has veered to the south. Lots of rain expected but I will believe it when I see it. All my Betas are now either validated or in PV Jail so I expect my stats will get back to normal soon. It does seem strange that one of my Betas claims 480 points for 18 hours crunching while another cruncher only claims 180 points for the same elapsed time - don't understand that.

Good evening team,
----------------------------------------Unfortunately my workstations are all 3D rendering for the foreseeable future so my performance will drop significantly.
