Re: Morning Update II

And an explanation:
As Sekerob says, woken up by a monitoring device. Unfortunately the feeder outage happened during my sleeping hours.

It appears that there was an issue with the connection between the server that runs the feeder and the database server. I have kicked the feeder and it is running again. As the logs for the feeder are reporting, lots of new work is being picked up at this moment...

With the feeder being down for 6 hours, it could take a bit for work to get distributed again and you may see no work available due to high demand.

Thanks again for your patience,

-Uplinger

Re: Morning Update II

As always after an outage hitting the Update is a good idea because otherwise BOINC will have defered communication for several hours.

Re: In Other News

As of 18:00 BST we're upto 53 which is a couple light for a normal Saturday. sad

There are some oddities amongst Gp1 crunchers:
The Candlers and dubmail.net haven't crunched since Oct 1 & 2 respectively.

Nothing from DanielMan since 04-10-13 19:34:25 and nothing from Mike D Green since 05/10/2013 02:31:02.

And fosking who told us he's away from home for a week logged activity 04-10-13 10:40:56 and then 05/10/2013 15:05:04 so not sure what's happening there. thinking

Re: In Other News

Hoping WCG crunching will go back to normal now with kubuntu 13.04 installation. Couldnt work out how to get GPUGrid/Collatz to work, as BOINC doesnt recognise the GPUs d oh ).

Got Blu Ray writer this morning, but not yet fitted it. Maybe next weekend, as want to see how stable current installation is first ... (and still a chicken )
