Fingers cross for you Thargor. It would be a superb bit of kit. I am a little worried by the power costs like you. Assuming it is quiet enough when running at 100%, I am not too concerned in winter as I will use it as a heater to warm the house, but summer may be different. Hoping to run it at 100% 24/7 if costs / temperatures allow.
----------------------------------------I also intend to use it for some gaming in the future (if I can find time) and will add a single gaming GPU that can handle 4k gaming (and hopefully lots of crunching) when they become available in the future.

JonnieB, just wondering why you're showing the "The Hunt for Improbable Island's Distributed Supercomputer" overtake stats in particular? Does the UK team have a grudge against them or something?
---------------------------------------- I've been looking at BOINCstats, and they appear to be 40 and we're 50 in the rankings. Is it as simple as that?

There's no "grudge" againt IIDS The reason for highlighting the countdown to overtaking them is that the IIDS team is identified in WCG records as being Great Britain based. As such they are the only team (in the GB based listings) which ranks above the UK Team. Passing them will make crooks_uk's claim "We are by far the greatest team representing UK members" indisputable.
---------------------------------------- As with most of my posting it's intended to be motivational both to UK Team members and, should someone from IIDS see it, maybe it might in encourage them bring more to the crunching table. |

# 627 Welcome to WCG and to the UK Team applai Curious  He was here but now he's not!  He joined the Team around 00:05 and was still here around 10:00 when I compiled the Morning Update but now he's not. Since he joined and lleft on the same day it's as though he never was and AllTime Members reverts tp 626. The annoying thing is that he returned a completed WU 12/01/15 11:04 Grrr! It maybe that applai has realised he made a mistake and reversed his retirement!  My Team shows Current Members 534 and All-Time Members 627 which is an increase of +1. Status (Current/Retired) doesn't reflect this and still shows 636 but this maybe because of his previous "here one minute and gone the next" history. Member Name however shows his Status as joined 16/01/2015. So a tentative "Welcome back"  Argh!! Gone again!  |

Well l think the team is up to it, every one is thinking of more crunching power and one or two have already added extra PC's. Also building super crunchers. That makes perfect sense. Didn't spot the UK connection. Of course, as you rightly pointed out, if IIDS can "make a fight of it" all the better, because it means more power to the grid.
