@ Scribe If you have a Profile that only fetches BETA work will it fill the cache? I posted earlier in the week:
It appears that WCG has tweaked the feeder settings to limit download to 1 per core which I suppose means a fairer distribution but adds to the time it takes to collect BETA badges.

but if a BETA only profile fills the cache I'm wrong.


So I've played around with the settings. I unselected all projects and also the 'if no work available send me work from other projects' option but I left the beta option selected. All the work dried up. I figured to get beta work units for MCM I at leaset need the MCM project selected so I reselected MCM. Now I'm crunching 4 MCM work units and 0 betas work units. crying

There is no Beta work at the moment, which is why the work dried up. Micro-managing your profile can help get Beta's when they are in the feeder, for best results is to keep a loose eye on the Beta Forum and when they are announced, stand by to micro managed your profile when the feeder releases them and get the Beta's running as soon as they have finished downloading (so they are returned as quickly as possible, to increase the possibility of obtaining more).

Beta's don't come around very often, but when they are do, they tend to be in fairly large batches, so don't give up hope, you'll get some... smile

P.S. In almost 8 years of trying, I've only managed to get 140 days of Beta's wink
