Re: LunchCrunch Report

Good evening team,

A very big congratulations to themoonscrescent and Thargor on their new Sapphire badges.

I am treating myself to a new HTPC for Christmas. Haven't decided what CPU to get. Was thinking along the lines of a Intel NUC, or a faster i3 or i5 solution.

I hope to pick a few of these up. I would love a new badge for Beta sometime in the near future. Currently at 0:141:00:09:30 runtime.

It might be worth waiting until Q2 2014 when the new Haswell E Octo-core (16 thread), is released. Even if you don't want one, the price of other I7 CPU's may drop a bit?

I'm going to recommend an Intel Xeon E7-8870 (10-core 2.4GHz), they're only about £3,500 each! wink

Re: LunchCrunch Report

Oh, beta, my home computers are full of MCM at the moment so haven't pick any up yet. Hopefully enough of the WUs will come my way so I can get to silver, currently 0:032:08:35:50. So some 100+ WUs will get me there, not likely to happen. But I will keep hoping.

Drawing on my childhood memories I am reminded that beer at home meant Davenports! biggrin

Thankfully I was never exposed to Watney's Red Barrel and the infamous Party7! sick
