Congratulationss Apis, Nice to see runtime milestones, the hardest and slowest stat to increase, unless you have a large server.
----------------------------------------I'll be hitting the Century in about 4 months. Got my server all setup for sunny days but haven't had one since i last mentioned it on the 13th of May! ![]() |

I remember Genhos (I think) said that he has evidence that Linux OpenZika is worth more points than windows OpenZika. So I created a 16 core linux VM and ran OpenZika on it and found out that Genhos is correct. I then created another 16 core VM and have been running both the past few days. The results are below.
----------------------------------------Windows 10 32 threads 0:031:14:08:02 182,929 377 0:031:07:49:32 161,554 344 VM1 16 threads 0:016:10:07:00 131,475 259 0:014:04:37:09 117,876 224 VM2 16 threads 0:015:12:37:17 119,307 235 0:015:14:41:01 128,266 246 VM's Combined 32 threads 0:031:22:44:17 250,782 494 0:029:19:14:10 246,142 590 The Linux, even under emulation, with shorter work units is definately worth more points. Would probably generate a bit more points if it was running natively. ![]() |

I see the team is going to hit 4900 years of run time today. The next big one, 5000 years, is due in a couple of months.

Looks like you had a great holiday DC, envious of the hot weather.

In the words of Chris de Burgh (who I was a fan of until he got a bit c*ap)...
----------------------------------------"Nothing can compare with the Connemara coast, Gazing out in silence with the one you love the most". I doubt it will be 30C and cloudless, but you can live in hope I guess!

Connemara is a beautiful place, A rugged craggy land yet so full of life, it is widely known for its variety of wild flowers.
----------------------------------------There is a company that makes all sorts of products from the flowers, I purchased some shampoo that smells like a rotten log when washing but smells fantastic afterwards. I can't remember the product name but I intend to rediscover it. ![]() |

BTW, I've no idea why, on my stats, everybody seems to be gaining places, a few places every day for the past week or so. The "logical explanation" is that some of the data is "disappearing", but why, I have no idea. It is reasonable to assume that my software is working fine, because it's barely changed in 3 years. So that must mean that the data coming back from WCG is changing. Maybe they are purging very old data or something?

Dave,
The number in the team is also dropping. I think the explanation is that people who stopped contributing over one(?) year ago are being deleted/anonymised in order to conform to the GDPR rules. It was mentioned somewhere, but I can't be bothered to go look for it. I think they said that they would do the ones who left a long time ago in batches over time, which would also explain why it can be several in one day even though our team numbers aren't huge. |

Thank you dcrobinson, for my 6,000,000 points milestone mention in the Team Stats. Milestones don't come very often for me.
